About us.
What if the real power of innovation did not come from having the most resources but from creating the right conditions for people to learn, imagine, and build solutions together? That is the idea behind the SDG Olympiad, a global competition designed to empower youth-led innovation for sustainability.
Each year, the Olympiad connects students, universities, and a growing network of partners, including educators, researchers, industry leaders, and public institutions, to co-create actionable solutions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Our network is growing rapidly. In 2024, twelve universities participated in the Olympiad, engaging more than one thousand students internationally through events, mentoring, and challenge development. Finalist teams presented bold ideas in areas such as climate modelling, coral restoration and waste management, demonstrating how collective action can turn shared challenges into shared solutions.
